THE HUNGER PROJECT
CFHE's The Hunger (THP) Project is a weekly meal delivery program for individuals experiencing food insecurity. THP outsources the production and delivery of all meals to local community eateries and restaurants who create dinner meal boxes for our residents. Our meals are described as a "hug in a box" composed of wholesome, hearty, and nutritious ingredients. Our meal program delivers fresh, warm meals to our senior population, homeless residents, and persons with disabilities.

ABOUT THP
Coalition Equity's Hunger Project was first established in March 2020 as The Hudson County Hunger Project (HCHP); a grassroots community meal program supporting local restaurants and food insecure residents in Hudson County. Started by a collective of Greater Hudson County and New York City residents, HCHP evolved into CFHE's The Hunger Project (THP).
Our hunger program is one of a kind: a free meal
subscription program for vulnerable populations with a
focus on fresh, nutritious meals. CFHE works closely with
our partnering restaurants to make any necessary
modifications to clients' meals, ensuring that we are
providing the best possible options to improve the health
and wellbeing of hunger program clients while also supporting our local small businesses.
