Join the Coalition for Food & Health Equity and East Side High School as we cut the ribbon on Newark’s newest Ujamaa Café: a community fridge and wellness hub advancing food access, equity, and education with dignity. From fresh food to nutrition education, this café is about students, families, and neighbors nourishing one another. Expect brief remarks, a celebratory ribbon cutting, and time to connect with partners, educators, and community leaders. Refreshments will be served. Come help us welcome the Ujamaa Café to East Side and celebrate a new chapter of equity, care, and community power.
