
About the Job
We are seeking a highly organized and attentive professional who will work to oversee, grow, and strengthen CFHE’s The Hunger Project and additional special programs. This is a part time position with opportunity to grow. The Program Manger (PM) will be the senior leader and oversee all operations of CFHE’s Hunger Project program, monthly meal distribution events and related special programs. The PM will be responsible for ensuring current THP and special programs are effective and appropriately executed, oversee the evaluation of programs, work to generate further funding for programs, and ensure the effective and highest quality of meal programs are offered to clients across New Jersey. In addition to assisting with day-to-day tasks, the PM will have the opportunity to provide input in and assist on innovative efforts to ameliorate food insecurity and health disparities.

Roles and Responsibilities
Program Operations
Oversee the weekly meal delivery and logistics of the Hunger Project and special meal programs across 6 New Jersey counties and Philadelphia.
Work with CFHE restaurant affiliates and CFHE’s third party delivery partner to ensure the highest quality of meal delivery services to THP clients and community partners.
Assist with ongoing administrative meetings, virtual team meetings, and THP Affiliate meetings.
Plan and execute CFHE’s monthly holiday meal distribution events serving 400+ New Jersey residents monthly.
Lead CFHE’s community partner meal delivery program and ensure the timely delivery of meals to local community agencies.
Assist administrative directors with oversight of organizational policies and procedures
Working with CFHE’s Data Officer and program evaluators, collect, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of the THP program and areas for improvement.
Working with the Chief of Staff, maintain and ensure CFHE’s compliance guidelines and implement compliance procedures to ensure the highest standards of the THP program are maintained.
Establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment with all THP affiliates, staff, drivers, and partners.
Perform employee reviews and develop corrective action plans if needed
Assist with the THP restaurant application and onboarding process.
Nutrition Evaluation & Education
Oversee and lead CFHE’s Nutrition Evaluation Team
Work with all CFHE Affiliates to ensure affiliate menu items meet CFHE’s meal guidelines.
Work with CFHE affiliates on new menu items and creative menu ideas for clients and THP meal deliveries.
Develop policies and procedures for current and new nutrition education services and programs. Compile or develop and update nutrition education materials.
Serve as a nutrition resource person to the community and clients.
Provide nutrition education workshops to clients, community members, and partners.
Coordinate in-service training on modified diets for appropriate staff, affiliates, and partners.
Keep informed of new developments in dietetics and maintain registration by reading current literature.
Development
Research and identify new government, corporate, foundation and private funding prospects to sustain and grow the THP program;
Generate high-quality proposals, narratives, applications and supporting documents in response to solicitations consistent with all policies and procedures of THP, and the requirements and guidelines of the funding agencies;
Assist in maintaining grant schedules and tracking grants;
Under the direct supervision of the CEO, serve as a liaison to funding agencies and organizations as it relates to the THP program and program support;
Work with the CEO and Development Associate to research, develop, write and submit letters of inquiry, concept papers and grant proposals to grow the THP program;
Coordinates and follows up on the progress of submitted proposals;
Attends weekly operations meetings to discuss current and new funding needs.
Client Services
Supervise the Client Resource Team and Hunger Project Coordinator within all client support and services.
Manage confidential client information, enrollment information, and reporting.
Ensure the highest quality of client services to all THP clients.
Ensure the highest quality of client care is provided.
Build client referral database and service network
Community Outreach
Foster relationships within the community.
Support CFHE’s community outreach efforts, including attending CFHE’s community events.
Support with community outreach and provide on the ground community enrollment for CFHE’s programs and initiatives.
Assist in recruiting THP affiliates and community partners.
Working closely with CFHE’s Media Team, develop marketing strategies, informational campaigns and ideas to increase awareness, education, and reach of THP and our services.
Attends workshops/community health fairs, and related activities to distribute outreach materials and to network with appropriate community organizations.
Skills and Qualifications:
A Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Nutrition Education, Public Health or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of one year of nutrition and cooking education experience with youth and adults
Demonstrated expertise in obesity prevention programs that include: nutrition education, cooking, gardening and other policy and environmental supports
Passionate and dynamic educator who connects well with and inspires people of diverse ages and backgrounds
Experience implementing program monitoring and evaluation activities
Strong project management skills and experience
Demonstrated ability to work across departments and teams.
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the following software applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of support and response.
Expert level written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.

Schedule and Compensation
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30hr/25wk
Schedule: Monday to Friday, some weekends
Travel: 25% [must have reliable transportation]
